WeBeatCancer.org is a Gallahue/Rooney Family Foundation effort to provide assistance to Boston area cancer patients and their loved ones. When Jeff Gallahue was diagnosed with malignant throat cancer his family, friends and medical team surrounded him with love and support and today we are blessed to say, “We Beat Cancer”. The foundation now wants to help other cancer patients and their families. We plan to provide financial and informational support to members of the community who are struggling with the issues we faced during our battle with cancer. Some of the types of support we plan to provide include:
- Transportation
- Parking vouchers
- Meal vouchers
- Child care
- Expanding this website to include cancer support resources
- Working directly with oncology nursing staff at Boston area hospitals to identify patients and families that are in need.
